About Us

Ross founded Teachsport in 1999 whilst working as a Kent Cricket Club District Development Officer. He taught and coached in primary and secondary schools across the borough of Lewisham for 18 years.

Ross worked with the English Cricket Board (ECB) as a tutor assessor on their coach education programme and on national and international projects. He coached the Finnish National Cricket team for 8 years and supported the Finnish Cricket Association in developing cricket to become nationally recognised sport by the Finnish Government and introduce it into their education system.

Carrie begun coaching football at 14 years old, and continued her interest in sport by completing a BSc (Hons) in Sports & Exercise Science at South Bank University. She then went on to complete a PGCE at Brunel University in Secondary Physical Education. After teaching at a London secondary school for 8 years, she joined Teachsport in 2005. Carrie used this experience to develop a coach development programme so that Teachsport staff could offer the primary schools they worked in a much higher quality standard of delivery.

Carrie delivers much of our teacher INSET and training programmes, and constantly strives to improve the quality of PE offered to primary school children. She has successfully completed the Level 5 Certificate in Primary School Physical Education Specialism, and is working towards completion of the Level 6 in Subject Leadership.

Outside of Teachsport, Carrie has two young children to keep her busy. She enjoys running and has completed several marathons. She is also a Family Liasion Volunteer for a local charity supporting disadvantaged families.
